Here it is, the end of May, and this is only my 6th post on this blog for the month. I'll admit I've been really busy and when I FINALLY get a chance to write, I choose to do something else (or just sit and do nothing).
Steve and I took the boys to Bellaboos on Thursday. I wanted to take my camera so I could put some new pictures up here but I'm running out of photo space. I know I need to get more memory for it, but that's just one more thing that I have to work into my tight budget. Someday I'll get more pics up here.
How are we doing? Great! The house is still up on the market. So far no one has put an offer in yet, but our feedback is awesome and we are staying positive.
I've paid off almost $850 in debt over the past 2 months. My goal was close to $1000, but I'm happy with $850. We will see how June goes.
My savings blog is busy, busy, busy. I have almost 700 facebook followers and it's very active. Some days are slow (like today) but that's to be expected because of the holiday weekend. I'm expecting my first check from them any day now. Keeping my fingers crossed. By the time they finally send it to me I'll be ready for them to send me another one.
The weather has been icky and cold. I'm ready for sun and warmth. We had a few great weeks and then it all turned wet. My boys are also getting bored from being stuck in the house. We are ready for a change!
That's about all there is to report. My house is clean, the kids are sleeping (for now), Steve is working, and I'm relaxing.

My Goals
1. Happiness.
I want to be happy with who I am, what I do, and the life I live. This is always my goal, even if I'm in a current state of happiness. I feel like it is important for me to constantly remind myself that life is only worth living if you are truly happy. So I strive for it. I push myself to change the things that makes me unhappy. I do things through out the day because I want to, not because I have to. I surround myself with people that make me happy, and in return, I give them happiness.
2. Financial Peace
Should this really rank up there in number 2 position? Probably not. But I'm putting it up here because it is such a huge goal for us and our family. We work so hard every day to achieve financial peace. We have overcome so much and made it so far! My goal is to keep moving forward toward this goal. Will I ever make it? You never know. But at least I will keep taking steps in the right direction.
3. Security
I want to be secure with our home life. I want to find and live in that place that I will spend the next 20+ years of my life. I want a roof over our heads, food in our tummies, and a place to call my own. I want to dig up the dirt, paint the walls, tear out some cabinets and add in some tile. I want a home where I wake up with the sun on my face, wind in my hair, ready to enjoy the day!
4. Love
Love for myself, for my boys, for my wonderful husband, and love in return.
5. Health
Health and happiness. They go hand and hand.
In a way, I have already conquered each of these goals to some degree. I feel blessed for the life I live. But why should I stop there? These are not just goals, but a lifestyle. A way of life for me and my family. By making them "goals" they force me to push towards them. And not just live my life, but be happy.

My Mother's Day
Yesterday wrapped up my Mother's Day weekend. Steve had to work all day Saturday and again all day on Mother's Day. But he did have Monday and Tuesday off of work, so that is when we celebrated. We made a whole weekend out of it. Just us two and the boys!
I am so blessed to be a mommy to such wonderful little guys. They are my life, my inspiration, my everything. They are so smart and sweet, even though there are many times that they know how to push my buttons. It is very challenging, yet so rewarding. I wouldn't trade it for the world.
What did we do over our special weekend? We spent a lot of time together. We didn't go out to eat or go to any place expensive. Although we did pick up Dunkin Donuts one morning which was a lot of fun! We went for a few nature walks, had a few picnics in the park, sat around, and enjoyed each other. It was so nice having family time. Just the four of us.
Too often, we get caught up in every day life. We are busy, busy, busy. Running here, doing this, doing that. It's so important to take some time and enjoy the little things that are around you. Enjoy life and everything that comes with it. I spent the past 2 days doing just that. And it has made me better person because of it.

April Showers bring May flowers
Here it is, MAY. Not just the beginning of May, but May 7th. Where did the whole beginning of this year go? Don't get me wrong, I'm very excited that spring is here and we finally get a chance to go outside to play. But really...May already?
We've been taking the boys to the park a lot. Well, I've been taking the boys to the park. The boys love it there. They meet lots of new friends, run around, go across the bridge, and up and down everywhere. One of these days I will remember to take the camera with me.
Towards the end of April we had a lot of rain. One minute it would be sunny, the next moment showers. I took the boys outside so they could puddle hop. What they actually did was stomp in one lonely puddle for a few moments and then created a little area out of rocks and sticks to dig in. Very cute!
